The Old Block at Coal Valley is the original site, planted in 1991 under the French Lyre system of trellising and consistently produces our best grapes. The Old Block Pinot Noir was hand crafted using these gapes with traditional methods of open vat fermentation, some wild fermentation, basket pressing and then maturing in French Oak barrels for 15 months. This is the most expressive wine of the vineyard, with a fine balance of fruit and oak that sings on your palate. Just released.
